CIMG3023My youngest cousin got married last weekend! It was a great wedding — about an hour outside Silver City, New Mexico on a rented ranch. It is desert out there, and it was the start of the monsoon season. So it had been raining on and off for a few days. The desert had exploded. In fact, it rained fairly hard during the outdoor ceremony. The fellow doing the wedding worked it right in (dessert, water, renewal, etc.). It was a pretty relaxed wedding, which was pretty nice. I think the only reason the wedding party wore shoes was because of the nettles in the grass. 🙂

It was a great deal of fun and I’m sorry that Paula and I had to leave early so we could drive back to Tucson in order to catch an early morning plane.

CIMG2914I got a few pictures of the flowering desert at the Tucson Desert Museum. Stunning.

Check out all the pictures on my flickr account.
